Well, the tournament starts today! They're saying that things won't start get exciting 'til the next round, but heck, I spent 2000 DP on this streaming package, so I'm watching all of them!

Who do you guys want to win? I gotta admit, I'm rooting for Juudai-san, but. I'm a little biased, since he taught me how to Fusion Summon and all.

I'm still getting over the fact they let a hack like Haga in.

And then had a series of cheating scandals.

No nevermind everything after that. At least Ryuzaki cleaned himself up for the most part.

Oh yeah. Didn't he get like, some huge suspension after Battle City?

Haga. I thought I heard once that after the tournament, they basically found out he cheated against Jonouchi, but still lost.

Yeah. Not sure if Kaiba Corp pushed on him, but I know the claims haunted him to the point he was locked out of the Kaiba Corp Grand Prix.

And after the Prix, I dunno. Did he just get worse or not.

He wasn't in the Genex Cup, the RGX tournament or the WRGP...

...I dunno, I guess we could look it up, but I sorta don't care. I kinda hope he just gets dropped in the first round.

Same. We don't need some guy marred with scandal in the match.

I get why the others weren't, since Riding Duels were a mess, and some of them were touring the various international circuits at the time. But ugh.

Though it's a bit interesting King Ojin of Misgarth joined. Like he's been mostly retired since he took the throne, I didn't think a Satellite Duelist would be interested in high speed action.

The Genex Cup.

He was apparently invited by Headmaster Samejima, but no one knows why, the Prince, now King, refuses to bring up any of the details in any interviews.

But supposedly he Dueled a man named Saiou Takuma, who pulled off a "Zero Turn Kill".

I'm kind of interested in this Escher person by name alone. They sound cool.. ⌒(o＾▽＾o)ノ

But I wanna see Mr. Kenzan go far. He's always so funny and cool! ٩(◕‿◕)۶

They do this all the time in the one circuit that works like wrestling. You think X retired, but they're actually the new guy!

It's a tough one. I haven't even heard anything about the Masked Gentleman's Deck.

The only last time a Masked Duelist I remember showed up was during the Kaiba Corp Grand Prix, who used an Ancient City Deck. So...

For now, I'm just looking forward to seeing the duels! Watching them will be a great break from tests and studying.

Though, I noticed Strong Ishijima is taking part.

Yeah! I thought he was still training...I guess he came out of it to participate.

It looks that way.
Out of everyone, he has the most experience with Action Duels, though it'll be interesting to see what the training he did will bring.

I'm not sure how I feel. On the one hand, it'd be cool for someone from our hometown to have the title...but he's LDS' guy...

I wouldn't mind seeing Akae win, myself.

Though... I'm wondering about some of the other entrants. Maybe it's just me not being as aware of the pros as much as I should be, admittedly, but I don't know about some of these people.

Yeah...but I guess getting a bunch of pros together in one place on short notice like this is pretty tough as it is.

Not sure. There's been a ton of duelists over the years that've gotten to Pro rankings...

Though... Actually, on second thought? It would've been cool to see Edo Phoenix get into this.

Well, it's reasonable. He's a pretty big player, so I guess he just prioritized his other work over the relatively new dueling mechanic.

I mean, a championship means nothing if you're not really feeling the Action Dueling part.

Honestly? I think that Touki guy has some of the best chances.

Something about him seems like he's something to watch. His win record's impressive, but a lot of critics, from what I'm reading, seem to think he's on the edge of foul play.

But I think there's something more to that.

Though I'm pretty sure Yuya would of won if he had entered.
