Desdemona-sensei said they'd review the duels before they made their final decision but between Yuma and me winning and Yuya getting a recommendation from that Reiji Akaba guy...she thinks we'll be okay.

I think...I think we really did it!

I really didn't expect my duel to go the way it did. That Reiji guy was... something else entirely...
... but it's at least looking like I'll get to stay under his recommendation, so I should at least be grateful for that.

His dueling style was really...aggressive and scary...and he's the one who gave other people your Pendulum Cards...

But.

He didn't seem like a bad guy?

Yeah. He didn't come off as a bad guy to me. He seemed interested in me and was even giving me advice in places. I think he wanted to push me to see what I could do.

But it's made me realize that I still have a lot to learn. I want to be able to become stronger so that I can beat him if I ever get to duel him again.

But....you kinda took a step forward today, I think! 'Cause even when your back was against the wall, you summoned Beast-Eyes and fought back!

Yeah, you're right! Beast-Eyes was exactly what I needed and even though I didn't really win properly, it gave me a really good edge for that last turn of mine.
And it means I have two fusion monsters I can rely on now!
