Short Story
She flipped through her win-loss record again, for what was probably the seventh or eighth time in the past fifteen minutes.
There really wasn't any way around this. She'd gone and formed DoubleYu immediately after losing to Hayate...and it'd only been a few days since they'd had to break that up, kind of out of necessity once Isao had appeared and challenged Yuya. So she and Yuya weren't gonna be dueling as DoubleYu at the Festival, that much was for sure.
She guessed she could find another opponent. She could ask Yuma or Gongenzaka or even Zheng (since her team had gone up in smoke too) to duel her and Johan would probably put it somewhere on the card at the Festival. Yuzu was at least vaguely aware that she was seen as a pretty major duelist in the Super Junior League, even if it was only as "that girl who keeps getting close but chokes before she can cross the finish line".
And right now, she knew her record wasn't good enough to try again. Since her last shot at the title, she only had a few singles duels to her name. Definitely not enough consecutive wins to ask for another title shot at the Festival.

"Changing and growing stronger, for the sake of your friends...that isn't wrong."
She took in a breath. She stared forward at nothing in particular for a second...and she nodded to nobody but herself. She knew what she was gonna do. She knew it probably wasn't very smart -- but she was gonna do it.
She slid her Duel Disk into her bag and headed into the Duel College.
